These stamps won’t be available until October of this year but we thought you would like to get a first look. As in the past, the USPS is showcasing both a religous and a non-religious stamp for the 2012 season. Try and guess which is which.

Arizona Postage Stamps – Hot and Sticky!

ARIZONA FOREVER – The forever Arizona stamp was released February 14 and features an original painting by Phoenix Native Ed Mell. The stamp’s painting features the colorful and much admired sandstone rock formations of Sedona, Arizona. We love the rich colors of the sandstone and think this is a winner. We also wanted to find other beautiful stamps depicting the rich, colorful countryside of Arizona.

While the custom stamps below do cost more than the post office, they come in a variety of denominations = including 65 cents for heaver or square envelopes.

Timeless, classy, vintage, romantic and super soft. These are words that describe one of the most delicate flowers: the peony. Where we grew up in the midwest, we used to have a huge peony garden on the side of our house by the garage. I remember watching the hundreds of ants go round and round each petal resulting in a beautiful bloom. These would bloom just in time for Memorial day where we would gather them up and wrap wet napkins around the stems for the short ride to the cemetery. The flowers were beautiful and made the memories of loved ones that much more fragrant.
